Info on Wildewood Golf Course

The Wildewood Club features a mature, picturesque 9 hole golf course carved out of Fort Garry Forest which creates its difficulty, as well as it's beauty. Large mature trees enclose the course in green, but also define the narrowness of each fairway making every round a pleasant, yet demanding test.

Golf programs are divided into Mens, Ladies, Mixed and Junior sections, with several competitive and social events held throughout the season. Focused on family atmosphere, The Wildewood Club provides an opportunity for everyone interested in playing golf. Our Junior Golf Program and Future Links Junior Golf Lessons and individual instruction is available through the Golf Professional.

The course measures 6,048 yards, with a slope rating of 121 for men (rated 69.6) and 124 for women (rated 74.0). The Wildewood Club offers a fully stocked Pro Shop and new electric power carts, with a CPGA Professional on-site. A dress code is maintained on the course at all times.

The cross-country ski track in the Wildwood Trails system is a 4.5-kilometre groove that winds through the Wildewood Club golf course, along the Red River and right up to the fields of St. John's-Ravenscourt school. The idea for the ski track came about as residents wanted the opportunity to step off their front porch and into some outdoor winter activity.

There are three main trailheads available for people to jump into the track. The Wildewood Club (North Drive at Netley Street) has plenty of parking available for visitors, or interested skiers can get onto the tracks via the Netley and Oakenwald Avenue entrance or at the corner of Oakenwald and North Drive, near the WPCC.
